How to encourge students




there are several steps that can be take to encourage brekfast consumption among students in school.Having school breakfast thet ensures a nutritious start  everyday.School breakfast is the prefect option for students.Celebrate National School Breakfast Week 
One of the easiest ways to promote breakfast is to celebrate National School Breakfast Week held annually during the month of March. Events such as a Breakfast Dress-up Day or a School Breakfast poster contest can be simple or elaborate. Be creative and do what works for your school!
Providing free breakfast during National School Breakfast Week may generate awareness of breakfast as a healthy option at school, as well as provide students with the opportunity to sample breakfast menu choices. Remember to estimate costs based on the additional participation that day or week. Promote this special event by giving out coupons to students for a free breakfast when they get off the bus, or send coupons home with them in a newsletter. This idea can be expanded to include the first day of school or the first week of school to generate awareness.
During National School Breakfast Week, enlist the support of homeroom, health, science, physical education teachers and coaches so they will act as positive role models. Encourage teachers to eat breakfast with their students or discuss the importance of breakfast in class. Distribute menus to teachers so they can mention the foods served in school. Collaborate with health teachers to highlight the message of breakfast and the importance of eating breakfast for a healthy start to the day. Offer coaches a decorated table specifically for their teams to eat breakfast together the morning of a big game.


Invite Parents to Breakfast
Parents understand the importance of breakfast and the impact it has on a child's ability to learn. Why not invite them for a parents' breakfast? Offer samples of the same breakfast items so parents can taste the food their children have at school. Give a tour of the food service department and provide family-sized recipes for parents to take home (if possible, include a nutrient analysis to show how the meals compare with nutrition standards.). Include a coupon for “One Free Breakfast” as part of your promotion materials that parents could redeem whenever is convenient for them.


Contests
Contests can build awareness of your products and services, as well as generate excitement about giveaways or prizes. Consider details such as how students enter the contest, how staff will evaluate entries, will there be prizes for everyone or just one grand prize? Create entry forms and an eye catching collection box for the complete forms. Advertise with flyers and banners and include wording in your newsletters or announcements. After the contest, announce the winners and create publicity by taking pictures. Be sure to check school policies on contests and prizes.
  • Poster Contest 
    Students enjoy being creative and expressing themselves through various channels other than writing. Create an opportunity for students to design a menu for the month or a poster promoting breakfast at school. Create your own criteria regarding paper size, message and theme. You could also offer different grades different prizes so that each class has an opportunity to win. Display the winning posters in the cafeteria.

    Choose a theme, such as designing a health message for breakfast. Posters can also be used to create a new image for breakfast at your school. Let students design names and a gimmick for a certain menu item and apply the winner's idea to the item after the contest.
  • Milk Contest
    Have students create a milk mustache photo gallery. Give each student the opportunity to have his or her picture taken with a milk moustache and display each grade's results in hallways or the cafeteria. Each grade could vote on its favorite theme or costume. Select judges to choose which grade level's pictures are the silliest, which grade had the most participants, etc.
  • Cereal Box Design Contest
    Have students create a cereal box for their favorite cereal and have celebrities, teachers, or local high school art students judge the boxes. Similarly, Food Service Staff can offer a new breakfast dish and have students create advertising and promotional materials for the item. Students can have their artwork published in the school newspaper or used in promotional materials to send home to parents. 
 
Celebrity Day
Host an event in which local celebrities join your students for breakfast. These local celebrities are role models for students of any age. They can be mascots from sports teams, members from a university sports team, news reporters, a familiar local face, the mayor, or a city councilperson. Seek out people who are familiar to the children and bring about a positive image. Students listen not only to their peers, but to adults that they emulate.


Theme Days 
Theme days spark interest in “checking out what's new” and provide the opportunity to serve new types of foods. Choose different themes for the cafeteria and serve food that supports that theme.
Turn the cafeteria into a tropical paradise with a Hawaiian Day Celebration using cut out palm trees and grass skirts to decorate the serving counter, and have staff wear Hawaiian shirts and leis. Serve Hawaiian pizza (pizza with ham and pineapple) or luau muffins or serve pineapple as the fruit that day.
Showcase menus based on a holiday, culture or team to make school meals fun. Celebrate diversity with cultural sensitivity regarding your school's population.

 Before go to school, as a student  I should est breakfast.So that the suitable breakfast taken before I go to school are nasi lemak,sandwich and a cup of milk.This food and drink are suplly enough energy to my body although they are also a good nutrient  to make sure my body always healthy.

 Other then that,the suitable breakfast taken before attend a sport training are noodles,banana,bread and isotonic drink.These type of food will help the body to have  a strong stamina and can supply energy to the body to work their function efficiently.

Almost everyone of us must have heard the saying, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Still, not many have taken it seriously and made breakfast a part of their daily diet. Just like adults, skipping breakfast has also become a practice among school going children and as parents and caregivers, it is our responsibility to provide them with a healthy breakfast. Many students refuse to eat breakfast before going to school for several reasons, like, lack of time, not feeling hungry, etc. However, they do not realize that not eating breakfast actually hampers their health and can cause various learning problems. To avoid such problems, it is necessary that students develop the habit of eating breakfast daily. Rather than forcing children to eat breakfast, it is better if we make them understand the benefits of a good breakfast.

Breakfast Like a King

The exact meaning and importance of breakfast lies in the word itself. By eating breakfast, we are actually breaking the fast or long gap after dinner, the previous night. By the time we wake up in the morning, all our energy is used up and hence we need new energy to go through our daily routine. Students who do not eat or skip breakfast on a regular basis are at a high risk of developing gastroenteritis and several other health problems. Not only that, students have to face a lot of challenges in school and an empty stomach may come in the way of their progress. It has been observed that children who do not have their breakfast before going to school have problems, like, headache, sleepiness, stomach pain, muscle fatigue, etc. Indecisiveness, anger, anxiety, irritability, unhappiness, nervousness, lethargy, hostility, etc. are some other problems that can be seen in students who skip their breakfast. Such physical and psychological problems have the ability to hinder the learning process of students.

The first point that comes to my mind while thinking about breakfast for kids is that breakfast helps in their overall learning process. Students have a busy time in school where they not only learn different subjects but also indulge in extracurricular activities. For doing these activities, they need energy which comes from glucose that breakfast provides. Moreover, eating breakfast regularly also helps in weight management which can reduce the risk of child obesity which has become a common problem in recent times due to unhealthy eating habits.

Students who have the habit of eating breakfast have been reported to have better concentration during lessons than those who do not. Breakfast is also beneficial for the memory of the students as they are able to remember and retrieve already learned information quickly as well as accurately. Even their problem solving ability is enhanced by eating breakfast on a regular basis.

Studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between eating breakfast and test scores. It is seen that students who have their breakfast regularly score better in their tests than those who avoid eating breakfast. As a healthy breakfast offers ¼ of the nutrition that the body requires, there are less chances that children will indulge in binge eating foods, like, fast foods which are not good for their health. Rather, they are likely to choose foods that are healthier as well as nutritious, later in the day.

What Makes a Healthy Breakfast

Now that we know the importance, the next step is to find out what exactly should be eaten for breakfast. Though carbohydrates that provide energy to the body is one of the most important part of breakfast, it is necessary to make sure that the breakfast is not just an only carb meal. A complete breakfast should include all the necessary nutrients, including proteins, calcium, vitamin B6, vitamin A, zinc and iron. Also, make sure that it contains very less sodium, salt and sugar. A basic breakfast should be nothing less than cereal, milk and fruits. There also plenty of healthy and easy breakfast recipes to make delicious dishes that children will surely love. Parents can make the following for their children are-
  • Fruits should be made part of the daily diet of children. Fresh fruits, like, oranges, grapes, mangoes, berries, apples, kiwis, etc. are good choices to be eaten for breakfast. Fruits can be served with a cup of yogurt and cereal too.
  • While choosing cereals, it is best to choose those that contain high fiber which are available in a hot cereal like oatmeal, rather than in cold cereal. However, even cold cereals containing less sugar and more fiber is acceptable. These cereals can be eaten by adding nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and allspice to them.
  • Making a smoothie for breakfast will also be loved by children. Even a veg omelet served with bran muffin and low fat milk or orange juice can be a good idea for breakfast. Kids may also enjoy whole grain waffles served with ricotta cheese, peanut butter and fruits for breakfast.
  • Other than these traditional breakfast recipes, even leftover food, like, rice or sandwich can be served as healthy breakfast. Making a breakfast shake for kids is also a nutritious idea for breakfast.

Eating breakfast gives you a mental advantage. When you start off your day, your body needs fuel. “Glycogen stores start to deplete. If you haven’t had any food, by lunch you’ll start to feel fatigued,” says Kraus, adding that cognitive studies, particularly on children, tell us what happens if you don’t eat — you lose focus and concentration as well as the ability to think and problem-solve.

“Without eating breakfast, you’re more vulnerable to cravings and less likely to make healthy choices in the morning and throughout the day,” says Kraus. That’s a disaster — whether you’re on a diet or just eating for good health.

One study that tracked nearly 10,000 young people from adolescence into their twenties found that not only did skipping breakfast lead to being overweight, but people who missed out on their morning meal also increased their eating at fast food restaurants, and both unhealthy behaviors caused them to gain weight.

The Importance of Breakfast: Focused Thinking

Recent research also suggests that there are advantages to both eating breakfast and choosing certain foods in particular. “Studies have shown that kids do better in school when they’ve eaten a high-fiber, low glycemic index breakfast like oatmeal, rather than a sugary cereal. The same approach should work for adults who go to work early and have to make quick decisions,” says Kraus. “It’s anecdotal, but at lectures, we always say the worst thing to serve attendees in the morning is the typical pastry — it’s only a temporary filler. Couple that with a cup of coffee and you have a big surge of energy, but by midmorning your audience is sluggish or sleeping — everyone bottoms out.”

To make eating breakfast a habit or to give your breakfast a nutrition makeover, rethink your meal. “Breakfast just means breaking the fast; it doesn’t mean you have to eat specific foods. Breakfast food alternatives just don’t come to mind because they weren’t taught to you,” says Kraus. “For sustainable energy, partner high-fiber foods with proteins that promote alertness, like egg whites, turkey, chicken, fish, and lean meats.”

“Breakfast can also be a smoothie, a slice of pizza, or waffles with fruit,” suggests Kraus. “It can be a homemade high-fiber muffin made with added egg whites and milk, nonfat dry milk powder, or whey powder instead of water to embellish the protein content.” Besides hot cereal made with milk, other ideas to try are smoked fish or hummus on whole-grain or rye bread or on half a whole grain bagel.

The Importance of Breakfast: Getting on the Fitness Track

“There’s no right or wrong time to eat breakfast,” says Kraus, who admits that her morning routine has her heading to the gym before breakfast. “I exercise early in the morning and can’t eat beforehand — I have to do it this way because it’s the difference between getting to the gym or not.” However, Kraus says she is quick to refuel afterwards before starting her workday.

“Everything we know tells us that for people to keep themselves going, to keep from craving foods and going off the right track, you have to eat in the morning,” says Kraus. And the words of clients who make the lifestyle change are like music to her ears. “They say, ‘I never was a breakfast person, but now I actually look forward to it. I can’t leave home without having breakfast or bringing it to work.’”

JODOH??

Jodoh adalah perkara yang sudah ditetapkan oleh Allah yang maha Esa. Tetapi bagaimana kita mengetahui dia memang ditakdirkan untuk kita? Allah SWT mengurniakan manusia telinga untuk mendengar, mata untuk melihat dan akal untuk berfikir. Jadi gunakan sebaik-baiknya bagi mengungkapkan rahsia cinta yang ditakdirkan. Dua manusia yang rasa mereka dapat hidup bersama dan memang dijodohkan pasti memiliki ikatan emosi , spiritual dan fizikal antara keduanya. Apabila bersama, masing-masing dapat merasai kemanisan cinta dan saling memerlukan antara satu sama lain. Lalu gerak hati mengatakan, dialah insan yang ditakdirkan untuk bersama. Benarkah ia seperti yang diperkatakan?

Berikut adalah 10 petanda yang menunjukkan dia adalah jodoh kita :

1. Bersahaja
Kekasih kita itu bersikap bersahaja dan tidak berlakon. Cuba perhatikan cara dia berpakaian, cara percakapan, cara ketawa serta cara makan dan minum. 5. Percaya Mempercayai
Setiap orang mempunyai rahsia tersendiri. Adakalanya rahsia ini perlu dikongsi supaya dapat mengurangkan beban yang ditanggung. Apabila kita mempunyai rahsia dan ingin memberitahu kekasih, adakah rahsia kita selamat di tangannya? Bagi mereka yang berjodoh, sifat saling percaya mempercayai antara satu sama lain timbul dari dalam hati nurani mereka. Apabila kita mengalami kesusahan, dia menjadi pembantu. Di kala kita sedang berleter, dia menjadi pendengar. Dia selalu bersama kita dalam sebarang situasi. Dengarlah kata hati. Kadangkala, manusia dikurniakan Allah deria keenam yang dapat mengetahui dan memahami perasaan pasangannya. Dengan deria batin ini juga kita dapat saling tahu perasaan masing-masing. Kita dan dia juga dapat membaca fikiran antara satu sama lain dan dapat menduga reaksi dan tindakbalas pada situasi tertentu. Apabila kita yakin dengan pilihan hidup kita, tanyalah sekali lagi. Adakah dia ditakdirkan untuk kita? Dengarlah kata hati dan buatlah pilihan. Serahlah segalanya pada ketentuan yang maha berkuasa.

10. Solat Istikharah dan Tawakkal
Jodoh dan pertemuan semuanya di tangan Allah SWT. Manusia hanya perancang di pentas dunia ini dan skripnya ditulis oleh yang maha esa. Adakalanya, dalam memainkan peranan sebagai pelakon, diberi petunjuk melalui mimpi atau gerak hati. Mimpi memang mainan tidur, tetapi apabila kita melakukan sembahyang Istikharah dan memohon supaya Allah memberikan petunjuk, insya-Allah dengan izinnya kita mendapat petunjukNya. Jika dia pilihan kita, buatlah keputusan sebaiknya. Jika tidak, tolaklah dia dengan baik. Semua yang kita lakukan ini adalah bagi mendapatkan kebahagiaan hidup di dunia. Setelah semuanya diusahakan, berserahlah kepadaNya dan terus berdoa. Ingatlah, nikmat di dunia ini hanya sementara.Nikmat di akhirat adalah kekal selamanya.
